"Growing up in rural America in the 50’s in a family of seven children left me with many memories. I began this book in an attempt to record where I came from. When I started writing I found I had 24 entries, just enough to be housed on a loaf of Wonder Bread which contains 17 slices. Once I began, more memories flooded into my mind and I now have enough stories for three more loaves or volumes."
