OTHER RESOURCES

A Simple Cutting Jig

I built this cutting jig long before I had a Kuttrimmer and it continues to serve me well. Advantages are low cost and the ability to cut materials "square" – this goes for paper, as well as board (and just about any other material).

Supplies Needed:

  • 1/2" plywood with rubber "feet" screwed into bottom
  • Aluminium "L" channel (Available at hardware stores)
  • Large cutting mat
  • "L" square
  • Box cutter

An option is screw the "L" channel directly to the bench. I chose not to do this for greater flexibility in bench use, i.e. from both sides...
